Just shy of confirming it, Lexus has previewed the upcoming GS Coupe at the Paris Motor Show today with the reveal of the LF-CC Concept.
On hand for the reveal, Lexus Europe director Paul Vander Burgh said that the future of Lexus is to focus on design, driving dynamics and technology. He also concluded the reveal by confirming that Lexus will bring to market a rear-drive D-segment (mid-size) coupe in the near future. With the GS being the current Lexus mid-size product, and rumors of a GS coupe in the works for quite some time, it’s more of a foregone conclusion than an assumption.
With a massive version of the Lexus spindle grille up front, inside the concept car appears to have a full LCD screen center stack, similar to that found in the Tesla Model S. (We couldn’t get inside photos to confirm).
Powering the concept car is what Lexus calls an all-new 2.5-liter direct-injection hybrid powertrain, which should deliver capable performance with excellent fuel economy. A more powerful version is certain for the US market.
